Some say the spirit of the Nats. At an upwind point on the airfield each evening hundreds of people gather to fly and watch free flight models. On hearing shouts of "HEADS" remember to dive out the way of low flying aircraft! Free flight is the original form of aviation. When over a century ago the pioneers of flight wanted to prove their theories they used models to test them. The model is designed to be self stable, set up to suit the conditions and then launched. |
